I have just republished a nominal roll of GHQ Liaison Regiment as a result of further information. It is a complete roll of the following: all Officers who served in the unit; members of 'F' Squadron attached to the Special Air Service Brigade, 'A' Squadron attached to the British Forces in North West Europe; 'H' Squadron which served in Greece (1941), Middle East, Sicily and North Africa; casualities during Operation Jubilee or Dieppe raid; and many more from 'B' and 'L' Squadron.

This book contains a nominal roll of former members of a specialist but incredibly important Second World War unit designated General Headquarters Liaison Regiment. This is a special hardback edition published to coincide with the Seventieth Anniversary of the formation of No. 3 Military and Air Mission and the formation of No. 1 GHQ Recce Unit. This year is of the Sixtieth-Fifth Anniversary of the end of the Second World War in Europe and against Japan in the Far East.

The hardback book includes an introduction to the work of GHQ Liaison Regiment during the Second World War.

The nominal roll also includes former members of No.3 Military and Air Mission. The two units were better known by the codename 'Phantom'. This is the author’s first attempt to produce a nominal roll of former members since the Second World War and they include Officers and Other Ranks that the author has come across in researching a definitive history of GHQ Liaison Regiment.

It includes detailed biographical information where possible, Honours and Awards to various former members of the unit. This unit was tasked with gathering battlefield information and using their own communications net bypassing normal channels of communications sending reports straight to the Headquarters of the Commander-in-Chief.

This is an ongoing project and the author welcomes comments.
