Alexandria to Southampton look-up??

I wonder if anyone could have better luck than I have-
 I've been trying to trace a passage to England from Egypt (Alexandria to Southampton) made by Mabel Veryan Smith in (I think) the late summer/autumn of 1928.  She was travelling with a family called Cunningham.
I'd be very grateful for any info

Hi & thank you for responding.  Mrs C was Eileen.  Mabel S was nanny to a posse of kids, but I'm afraid I don't know their names

Is the Mabel Veryan Smith the one born 1907, as struggling to find her on the passenger list for 1928

Yup, that's the girl!  She went from Enfland to Cyprus in 1910 but not a hope of tracing that passage -five Smiths all with unimaginative first names!

Are you sure she came in at Southampton , as carnt find a Mabel Smith of the right age coming into Southampton from Egypt

Hi  It said Southampton on the trunk that I remember as a child....I think. Is there another Mabel S coming to England from Egypt (that bit I know is right) in the time frame, I wonder?  It's possible, I suppose that they docked somewhere else & went by train to Southampton, hence the label...

Thank you for looking-Mabel S is incredibly elusive, so somehow I'm not surprised she's under the radar yet again.  Her parents & sisters managed to lose themselves too
