Frederick Walters
« on: Saturday 26 March 05 21:24 GMT (UK) »
Frederick Walters was born in Dale, Pembrokeshire, c. 1822.  He turns up in Barrow on Humber as a coastguard in 1871.  Is there any online source of parish records for the area?
Godden in East Sussex, mainly Hastings area.
Richards in Lea, Gloucestershire, then London.
Williamson in Leith, Vickers in Nottingham.
Webb in Bildeston and Colchester.
Wesbroom in Kirby le Soken.
Ellington in Harwich.

Hi
I looked on my 1841 and 1861 census cd's for Dale and could find no Walters family in Dale at these times. Perhaps your Fredrick was in the Navy, I have a relation who was in the Navy and ended up as a coastguard.
sorry i could not be of more help.

Thanks for the look-ups and the suggestions.  I've learned from another descendent of Frederick that his mother was Maria Walters, who had at least 3 children out of wedlock then married Charles Rees and had 6 more.  (I'm taking all this on trust, not having seen the evidence.)  Is there a Maria Rees on the 1841, please?

I do not have access to to any of the census I tend to get most of my info from the LDS site. I live in the area that is why I mentioned the light house.  Have you had a look on the LDS site for Rees
