I have obtained from Wexford County Council photocopies of pages from The Register of Interments (plot details) and the Register of Burials (deaths listed by date) in relation to some deceased ancestors that I was seeking information on. As a result I have information on the grave numbers and deaths either side of the entries that I was interested in.

In both of my cases there were people buried in the grave that were not mentioned on the cross/headstone and I imagine this is common places, especially for the older burials or where infants were involved. Therefore the following information may be useful for those trying to trace lost relatives. I will post separate entries for each of the 6 photocopied pages.

Page 1 - REGISTER OF INTERMENTS (5 plots)

Correction to the above.

Looking at the 1901 census the O'Connors were resident in Carriglawn (I misread as Carrigtown).

In the census Michael O'Connor was stated to be an Army Pensioner (50th Foot Regiment) but his age is given as 64 and Margaret's as 77 which is an approx reversal of the ages stated in the burial records!!

How they came to both die in the same day is an unusual one.

Very interesting information Shorts. Just like to point out that the "Bantle" Carty in grave 101 should be" Bartle " .He was a very well known local  old sailor in the days of sail .

Hi Shorts , The initials R.I.C. is without doubt Royal Irish Constabulary ,the R is for retired, so he was a retired policeman , but at the moment  I can't guess what the "U" stands for.
