Can anyone tell me where this is/was? I know it was in the Camlachie District, but I cannot find it on any maps.

Any help would be much appreciated.

It ran between Gallowgate and Crownpoint road

Looks like it was demolished to make way for the Crownpoint Sports Centre

Thank you Sancti.

It was around the 1920's (1921-1928 I know they lived there for sure so far).

Now on to find the nearest schools. My Gr-Gr Grandparents and my Gr-Granny haven't made this search easy!!

Thanks

One of my aunties lived in that street in the 1940s 50s.. they were strange wee houses to the front with their own door to the street.. but round the back had other houses that had a staircase on the back of the building so someone lived above. but the bulding was low like miners cottages.. across the street was a factory for milk and a garage on the corner.. it was a Shell garage.. This would probably be after your grandparents lived there.. there are some photos on butonly one of the street further down near Crownpoint road which was some type of stables for horses and carts and they had geese.. so that would have been there long before too.. get in touch if you want any more info about the area.. I lived in Fordneuk st nearby until the 70s...

Tylefield stables built for Robert Robb, contractor. These kind of brick houses with fore or back stairs proliferated in the east-end before  being replaced by tenements.

Skoosh.
