Thank you Sancti.

It was around the 1920's (1921-1928 I know they lived there for sure so far).

Now on to find the nearest schools. My Gr-Gr Grandparents and my Gr-Granny haven't made this search easy!!

Thanks

I have an address for some ancestors around 1880-90's which says backlandkirk street would I be right thinking that would have been in this same area?
MCDOUGALL (Glasgow and Glassary, Argyllshire), SINCLAIR (Lanarkshire), CAMPBELL (Aberdeen, Ayr and Gorbals), DOLAN (Greenock), RUSH, BELL, COUSIN(S), PATERSON, KERR, DEARIE, KENNY, GORMLEY, (mostly from Ireland to Glasgow) GILLIES (Glassary & Lochgilphead) McFIE or MCPHEE,

@ Irene, the Glasgow sandstone tenements largely date from the late 1800's to the Great War. Tenements built after then are generally concrete. There are odd survivors of the old houses, a couple of restored examples in the Gallowgate which are 18th century.  (Hielan Jessie's pub!)  There were even single storied thatched hooses in the Drygate not all that long ago. As land was at a premium & tenements packed more people to the acre, the 19th century houses were swept away. It was strictly business!  ;D

Skoosh.
