I've just picked up this thread.  Robert Stewart b;1780 married to Amelia Robertson is my 3rd Gt uncle.

I have a fairly extensive family tree on ancestry.co.uk which may add to your information.  I'm on Facebook and Linkedin as well as here.

Yours Finlay Coupar from bonnie Scotland!

Hi Folks,

Blair Atholl OPR 15 Mar 1818
marriage: Donald Stewart in Balintuim, Logierait parish and Jessie Dewar in Blair (i.e. the village)

However there is a problem with his presumed parents' marriage.

Blair Atholl OPR 28 Aug 1780
marriage: Donald Stewart in Riechlachrie (Glen Bruar) and Amily Robertson in Pitagowan

Is your information from family bibles or family letters?  It would not be the first time that the OPR contained a clerical error.
