My g grandmother was a CHURCH in Swilland, Suffolk.  I've just turned up a couple of HOW ancestors whilst researching my paternal grandmother's roots in Luton.
RIP 1949-10th January 2013

My gt-grandmother was Annie Ambridge Church, born 1839 Gt Paxton, daughter of William Church, born Woolwich c1809.  William's father, also William, was in the militia and was born c1757 in Godmanchester.

I also have another as far as I can establish unrelated Church family.  Two daughters of Richard Church, born 1799 in Godmanchester, married two brothers of my gt-grandfather.  Rhoda Church, born 1829 in Spaldwick, married Joseph Fairey, and Mercy Church, born 1837 in Spaldwick, married Isaac Fairey.

Do any of these match yours?

Gill
