hi James & welcome to RC.

If those extra photos were in with family photos and marked with the family name, I wouldn't be too hasty in giving them away!! it may be that they will tie in with your tree at some point.

you could try sending the pic of the coach trip to the local paper (wirrel area?). many papers run local sections and people love trying to find names for faces! or the local library may have a copy of the same pic if it was originally done for a paper. this might supply names to faces. chances are your family is on there somewhere!!

Happy hunting,
Diddy  ;D

Agree with Diddy.  By all means send copies off to the local Studies Library and see if they can match them but keep the originals.
My bet is that you'll find that these photos fir in with some of your family stuff yet to be discovered.

And welcome to rootschat ;D

Hi James,

I know it's a while since you posted. In case you didn't find them the local Wirral papers are The Wirral Globe www.wirralglobe.co.uk, The Wirral News www.wirralnews.co.uk and the Liverpool Echo www.liverpoolecho.co.uk. Hoylake is still a lovely place especially on a warm summers day. I hope this helps.

Cheers

Brian
