Charles Hart
« on: Sunday 06 June 10 21:05 BST (UK) »
Hello,

im seeking more info on a Charles Hart born c1831,in Herefordshire according to the 1871 census.

That census has his wife Mary born c1835 London.

Ive been unable to find anything else definate on Charles on any other census.

The 1861 has his wife born c1831 Twickenham, shes born their on other census,on the 1881 she uses the name Elizabeth M.

Im trying to find where Charles was on 1841/51/61,and the marriage for Charles/Mary(Elizabeth),also any wider info on Hart family.

Very grateful for anything,

Regards,

Nel.

Well, I'm assuming that the Elizabeth Martha Hart bn Sept qtr 1850 Battle 7 276 is the daughter of Charles and Mary so they were at least together then (even if they weren't married), so they should be on the 1851 census somewhere.........!

Many thanks Spidermonkey,

this entry has him born a lot earlier and her a bit earlier.

With them being lodgers its hard to know where the marriage was,if they married at all.

Ive had a quick look at Surrey/Middlesex/Hastings area and theres a few Charles Hart/Mary marriages, but with just an 1841 entry likely for her makes it more difficult.

Ill have a closer look,or if anyone can find a likely one id be grateful,

Thanks,
Nel.

You've not got the birth certs of any of the children, have you?  Cos I think that will tell you Mary's maiden name.
