Researching Edward Strang & Margaret Weir, Dunfermline c. 1780
« on: Tuesday 08 June 10 02:58 BST (UK) »
I found some posts from a couple of years ago mentioning Edward Strang & Margaret Weir.  I am a descendant of their daughter Elizabeth Strang and her first husband George Shepherd.

I am making progress on tracking Elizabeth's children from both marriages.

I have also found Death records for some of Elizabeth's siblings:
Mary  d: 1860 Inverkeithing
Agnes d: 1857 Dunfermline
Janet d 1859 Dunfermline

Has anyone made any progress on Edward Strang & Margaret Weir - possibly linking to other Strangs?

Regards, Lindsay  (Los Angeles)

New to RootsChat I was thinking (hoping) this
information could be useful

From the book "Portrait and Biographhical Album"
 of Sedgwick County, Kansas
Published 1888

Barbara L (Leitch) Wilson
Father Robert Leitch
Mother Margaret Chambers or Chalmers
  Born:    5 June 1828 Scotland
  Married: 17 April 1848 Scotland

Husband:
Robert L Wilson
Born: May 25 1825 (Scotland Births and Baptism 1564-1950)
  Died: 23 June 1885
Father James Wilson
Mother Elizabeth Strong

Could Robert L Wilson be another Child of Elizabeth Strang's (Strong) Second husband (first being George Shephard) James Wilson?
