Woolley headed
« on: Tuesday 08 June 10 20:27 BST (UK) »
Can anyone try a fresh pair of eyes please.

I am trying to find the  family of Mary Jane Woolley born Spalding 1845.
The LDS site shows her as the daughter of John Woolley and Hannah. The same site also shows 3 other siblings born 1838-1837 at Spalding.
The family (Mary Jane is shown as Jane) are on the 1851 census living at London Road, Spalding which confirms the childrens details as the LDS.
I cannot find any trace in 1841 - have found Mary Jane in 1861 as a visitor in Holbeach -but no sign of any of the others.
Surely they can't all have died ?
Am i going wrong somewhere ?
Can anyone help please

thank you so much -don't suppose anyone can see marriage record for John Wooley to Hannah possibly around 1837.

they are living at Spalding in 1841 both aged 20 and they already have a 2 year old son Thomas

John is from Wisbeach Cambridge and Hannah from Long Sutton which is the Holbeach district of Licolnshire

Hi Geoff,

I think that could could be a real possibility.
I had found Hannah's of the right age/place and Hannah Beety was one of 6 names short listed, but I hadn't picked up on this marriage, so that is a great help.
Will pursue this further -thank you so much for your help

I don't think you'll find her parents on a census

Burials at Long Sutton
28 June 1828, Diana BEETY (32)
5 Dec 1838, Thomas BEATTY (53)

Struggling to find a marriage for them ???
