No need to start another thread- I've merged your latest Keane post with the one you started the other day to avoid confusion and duplication of effort for those trying to help.

I have been doing research on Stephen Keane b1841 and Rose Reilly b1851. I am the great grand-daughter of John their son who was born march 31 1884. I actually have birth certificate with rose and Stephen's name on it and they were farmers from what the form says. I know the were married in 1868 at st Joseph church in county mayo. I am having a hard time finding information on my great grandfather and his wife Catherine. I know the immigrated to america from 1910-1912 with his brother Patrick and her sister Mary. From what I was told from one of John's sons Patrick Keane and Mary got married I don't know if it was here or in Ireland. Do you know where I can find any info out about John Keane and when he married Catherine. I can't find anything out about my great grandmother. In 2011 I was on ancestry and the only thing I found was Stephen and Rose's children and when they were born: Bridget b1869, Anthony b1872, Patrick b1876, Mary b1878 Thomas b1880 and my great grandfather John b1884. and my great grandmother was b1892 John's wife. I have several last names for her and not sure what her surname was when she married John. John had 7 children with Catherine in Philadelphia, Pa USA they both passed away in 1965. they last of their children passed away in 2008 and he was under thought they were part of the IRA. He said they never spoke about back home in Ireland and if the spoke about something they didn't want the kids to know about the spoke Gaelic. They never taught the kids their native tongue. Maybe we can work together on this if there is anyway you can find me some information over in Ireland on john and Catherine's marriage I would greatly appreciate it
