Preston Patrick lookup - Brown

Hello everyone,
I wonder if anyone has access to the Preston Patrick records. I am chasing up a James Brown born 1844 in Preston Patrick. I believe that he may be the son of Isaac Brown and Betsy. He may also have a older brother Isaac, born  about 1842 in Preston Patrick. I cannot find this family in  the census records until the boys turn up in 1851 as lodgers with a family called Brown in Hutton Roof (could they be relatives?). There is no sign of Isaac senior or Betsy!
Any help; would be greatly appreciated

Hello Sally,

family Search IGI has an extracted record for James' christening 14 April 1844 Preston Patrick- parents Isaac and Betsy. There are also submissions for father Thomas/mother Betsy.
No sign of an Isaac child on IGI.

Have you checked deaths for Isaac and Betsy?

 Yes I have found the IGI record for James but that is all that i've found. I dont have a DOB for Isaac senior, I dont know where he was born and I cant find him or Betsy (whose maiden name I dont know either) in the census records at all so I have no idea where they went, and when they died!!!!!!
Any clues would be gratefully received

Hello again,
as you will know, James' birth certificate will give you the details of his parents.
However, you may want to follow this and see what you think- nothing positive though.

The 1851 family of Browns are in Lancashire in 1841 (see birth details from census).
1841 has an Isaac and Betty in Whittington Lancs (the ages are very odd but it is a very feint copy) with children.
Lancs OPC has baptisms of some of the children including an Isaac in 1841!

IGI also has a marriage for an Isaac Brown to Elizabeth Wilson -extracted record 1830 Heversham Westmorland.

... and IGI also has her (possibly) as Betty Wilson baptised 1807 Heversham- father Robert Wilson- extracted record.

So you have lots to think about there and chase up.

I have made a contact with someone researching the Brown family and have found that Isaac died in 1846 and Betsy was Elizabeth Wilson. With this information I have been able to track the family back.
So once again thank you so much for your help, and I think that this search is now Completed.
