Hughes Family Bagillt
« on: Friday 21 May 04 14:53 BST (UK) »
Hello All
I'm looking for any information and census lookup for John Hughes and family in Bagillt. John was a Carter by occupation. A nice lady in New Zealand sent me details from the 1851 census but I need more detail. Can anyone look them up on the 1861 and 1871 census for me please.

John b. 1823 Holywell
Charlotte b. 1823 "
Thomas b.1845 "
John b. 1847"
Robert b.1850 "

I think there was a later son George.

Are there any other Hughes from Holywell and Bagillt out there?

Many thanks

Cath.

Hi there,

For a census or other resource lookup,  you need to post a request in the Census and Resource Lookup Request Board to be sure our volunteers see it.

http://www.rootschat.co.uk/forum/index.php?board=48

However at the moment we do not have any volunteers with access to census information for 1861 and 1871 covering Flintshire.  Sorry   :(

No connection to yours I think, but I have a Hughes family from Holywell.
Joseph [mistranscribed 1881 as John] and Charlotte b.c.1826.
Known children: Ruth, John,Thomas,Mary Ann,Edward,Philip,William and David.
They later moved to Wigan area and then to County Durham.
Ruth was my great grandmother.
