I'd be interested in hearing from anyone researching the O'Shea family from Co Tipperary - residents of Ballina, Birdhill, Cullenagh and Newport.

Hi

Census of the United Parishes of Newport and Birdhill 1835 has three Shea families in Newport - William (family of ten), Jeremiah (family of eight) and John (family of six).  I don't see any O'Shea families listed.

I am also researching O'Shea's in Thurles.
James O'Shea born 1828 in Thurles.  Joined Army and moved to England.
I have his military records and it lists father as John.

I have no other info on siblings / mother, etc.
