How to trace WWII Bride & Husband ?
« on: Friday 18 June 10 21:14 BST (UK) »
We have found a WWII  War Bride marrying in England in 1945 and then again on a Canadian Wives Bureau’ Civilian Repatriation List 1946 going to Canada, but do not know the ship or destination.

As she was born circa 1920, so it is possible that she (and husband) may still be alive.

Whilst we know the name of her Husband and his Regimental No. (from the above list) we do not know where he comes from in Canada and where they both settled down.

What is the next step we can take to find out what happened to them ?

Any ideas ?

Thanks,

These are some sites that may help.

www.canada411.ca
is an online phone directory for Canada. If you have the persons name and it isn't too common this may help you narrow down your search.
