Marriage lookup c. 1819 Bitterley, Salop (??)

Hello everyone!

I'm looking for a particularly difficult fact, but it would help me a lot in order to prove my link to a family I've found about.

My great...grandmother was the daughter of Thomas Mound and his wife Ellen. In 1851 they are listed as being from Shropshire (he from Hope Bagot, she from Bitterley). According to the age, she was a few years older than her husband, and would have been born in 1789, and he in 1798 or so.

I haven't found any Ellens born in Bitterley, but there are three possible Elinors born in 1789 or around that time: Elinor Cooper (5/5/1791), daughter of Joseph and Susannah; Elinor Woodhouse (26/2/1792), daughter of James and Elinor; and Elinor Hughes (14/6/1789), daughter of Samuel Hughes and Mary; I think it`s the latter who married Thomas Mound; she had siblings whose names were shared with her own children.

The only way of knowing which one she was is to find Thomas and Ellen's marriage entry; their children were born in 1820, 1824, 1831 and 1836, so I suppose they would have been married around 1819 (I presume in Bitterley).

If anyone can find out about that for me, I'd be most thankful!

Just reviving this old post of mine. I am still searching (in case anyone has access to church records for Bitterley) for marriage c. 1819 of Thomas MOUND and Elinor X (possible Mound, though other candidates mentioned above).

I believe many Shropshire parish records are on Find My Past but I do not have a subscription, unfortunately.

Hi all, Thomas and Ellen's children were called Mary, Ellen, Sarah and Richard. Not hugely conclusive but Mary may have been Ellen/ Elinor's mother's name.

Don't know if this helps, but a Thomas Mound married an Esther Purslow on 6 December 1830 in Cainham...pretty close to Bitterley.   

Coincidentally, I have John Mound from Cainham that married a Eva Ann Didlick  in 1884 in my tree.
