please help

i am posting another request on this person as i have just got different info on her from another source who i believe is more accurate than the previous info i have.
i am after birth , marriage records for Sarah Calandar McDaul[McDawl] Diamond who was born around 1814 in Stranraer, Wigtownshire, Scotland to parents John & Margaret Diamond.
any info on her &/or parents gratefully received.
i would also be grateful if someone could see if she actually married a person with surname Coleman before she left scotland for england because some papers show coleman as part of her surname[Coleman-Diamond]. i know she married richard russell in london in 1843 so it would have been earlier than this

Birth Margaret Henderson 5th Oct 1774 Stoneykirk, Wigtown
Parents John Henderson Elizabeth Murdoch

Did you not have any luck with Scotlands people website? You should be able to print off a marriage cert of her parents and be able to work from that.

my info says sarah's mother was margaret mcdaul[mcdawl] & this is where sarah gets one of her middle names fron so i don't believe this is the correct marriage unless margaret's middle name was mcdaul as well. i will certainly try the scotland site but if it is a pay to view site then it makes it hard for me as i live in NSW Australia and it is difficult to send small amounts of money overseas. Again i thank you for your time and i will keep looking for sarsh until i find her. she has to be some where

Hi Vickie,

One other thing that might help you, Are you sure the name is McDawl/McDaul. It could possibly be McDowall. I have never heard if any of the others.

I hope you manage to find Sarah & family. I understand how frustrating it is. I have an ancestor from Wigtown who seems to have appeared from nowhere at the moment!

not really sure of spelling and there is a possibility it is McGaw instead so i will keep checking all avenues.Thanks for your imput though

There are no Sarah or S Diamonds shown in the OPR at all, births or marriages.
