Census 1901 help needed
« on: Monday 28 June 10 16:12 BST (UK) »
Bother, my Anc** sub has just finished and now I need some help please.
Looking for information re Morris Bleier and family, married  Mar 1920 Margaret Green, in Hackney. Children born 1921 Hilda, and 1925 Jessie, in Reg District Holborn.
Can you find him in earlier census' at all?
Also does the marriage appear in the Parish records? if so that may give me the information of his father etc.
many thanks
newbie
added:  I've been looking for him on the 1911 but can't find him listed as "morris"

With a surname like that it is likely he was born abroad and therefore not on any UK census.

I see he died aged 53 in Hackney in March 1/4 of 1944 (born c 1891)

plenty of Russian / Austrian / German Jews around in 1901 with forename Morris, but none quite similar in 1901

There's one in Liverpool in 1958- but I think this is more likely......

Margaret Bleier age 90, DOB 3 Apr 1905,died Camden in Mar 1996.

Ref...

Register number, C40A
District and Subdistrict, 2501C
Entry number, 223

Would make her only 15 when she married though?

Hmmmmmm  8) unless someone got her DOB wrong at death?

Perhaps she IS the L'pool one age 71 in 1958?
