batch numbers on IGI

could anyone tell me what the batch numbers on the IGI mean and what they mean, is it the families are related or what?? thanks in advance for any help.
barrow upon soar , leicestershire:   Darby
loughborough, leicestershire : selby
rempstone , nottingham, selby
nottingham: whitehead
watford, hertfordshire : hull
Derbyshire: Selby
kegworth leics, annable
melton mowbray:Darby

The batch numbers are those given by the LDS for each parish.  There is a web page that gives these details but thanks to a comp crash I have lost the addy.  Do a Google search for Hugh Wallis and IGI

On a newsgroup I belong to there has recently been discussion of "I" batch numbers.  Apparently these are something new.  They certainly are not on Hugh Wallis's site, and nobody seem yet quite to have worked out what they might be!  They seem to be reliable - one suggestion is that they have been transcribed from Bishop's Transcripts ...
