Hi Tony Gahan & Myluck!
I am also in the process of trying to do my family tree. I am the granddaughter of Thomas Bourke and Johanna Sweeney and the great granddaughter of John Bourke Garden Row. This is my first time posting on this site as I am only at the early stages of trying to complete my family tree. I have previously looked into this. Thomas Bourke's brother John Bourke moved to Dublin and lived in White Friar st. in Dublin. He had a shop there. He had two children who are both deceased. His daughter was killed in a road traffic accident. She was married and had two children and lived somewhere else in Ireland. I am unsure as to how his son died but I do know that he was not married and he didn't have any children.
Hoping to hear from either of you soon.

As you can see from my first post my connection is to Kathleen
My OH is her grandson, making him your direct second cousin
I am very happy to share what I have found to date


My only information on Thomas and Johanna was of their marriage on Sep 20 1915 in Kilkenny
It was said by someone that they had sons working for Smithwick's as they had a memory of meeting cousins at a funeral!

edited to add:
Just checked and I have that John had three children
Martha died in a car crash in 1974; Sean died in 2003 and another (as far as I'm aware daughter) still living.

                 Richard, Edward and Jane were the children of Thomas and Johanna.
                My dad Richard died when he was 60years old rip.
                Edward died when he was 20 years
                Jane died when she was 24years
