The Maurice family of Wales
« on: Wednesday 07 July 10 06:47 BST (UK) »
I have an ancestor named Mortimer Maurice who married Catherine Cromwell in 1821 in Bristol. He was a son of Joseph Maurice who practised as a medical professional in Bristol but who was buried in Haverfordwest, Wales where his father William came from.
I am hoping to contact some of the Maurice descendents from this line for a particular reason - being that, a very kind descendent of this line from Aberaeron contacted me late last year with some wonderful photos of the Maurice line which he forwarded to me online, which is great as I am in New Zealand.
The part that now really interests me is that my Maurice line is completed, but he told me that he has the line from Catherine Cromwell back to Thomas Cromwell which is a prize really worth having.
I have since been trying to contact him but to no avail.
Is there any way of finding any descendents of the Cromwell/Maurice line who may also have this history as I guess he was not the only one to know of this history. I am wondering if any of them live in your part of the country and would love to hear from them.
