Hi Diane, ? If you are speaking to them please pass on a Hello from Alex and Edlina  Gray's  daughter from Fintry living in Canada since 1959.
Thanks for the correction on Victor, he was my dad's best friend since they were about 10. Both my Mum and Dad are gone but I would have loved to have passed all this on.

If I thought they would remember me I'd send my best wishes too.
Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.

I have this piece in my scrapbook of treasures, called Heal's festival. My Mum brought it back on one of her trips back. I have pictures of many of the designs, but I tried quite a few times to bid on pieces of The Blitz, the blue one previous posed, wanted to get it for my Mum back before she passed as it was significant as she lived through the Blitz in Clydebank.
I tried to attach a photo of the piece I have but it was the picture was 1.9 mb would not allow it.
But if you are interested I could send the Wedding picture and material, photo to a email if you send me a personal message.
Regards
Rita

I am very pleased to have found this discussion as Peter's fabric designs are simply marvelous. Diane is there any way that I could pass a message through you to Peter? I run a small fabric business in Cheshire and I would like to ask him whether he would consider using our company to re-print some of his famous designs.

Hi
I speak to them most evenings so I will talk to him tonight. Don't know how you would go about reprinting as I am sure there would be a problem with copyright but I know I have his portfolio at my house in Cheshire which have some beautiful unprinted designs which quite frankly are stunning.

Hello Diane,

That is very kind of you. Many thanks. It would be fabulous to see Peter's designs in print again, or even as you say new unpublished designs if that were possible. We specialise in period fabrics so we would love to be able to work on this in some way.

Dads portfolio is work he did forty years ago. Only unearthed during a move. I think you would be amazed. I will speak to him tonight.

Hi Dianne, would be nice to see some more of his work.  Say hello from Nancy Whitelaw (my mum). She knew your parents in Cullen in the 80s and we now own the Bayview, though we are in the process of turning it back into a house.  Here is a photo of the upstairs former restaurant, taken before the renovation started, which still had your dad's carpet in it nearly 30 years later.  We had hoped to save a bit of it to use as a runner in the hall or a rug but it was just too worn out.  Really groovy design though.
