Hi
I am trying to find information on a  Robert Jolly fetteresso kincardine approx 1855 father to Jane Jolly approx 1884 and husband of Jane Annand.
I know there have been previous postings of these names on here and there is a possibility that the other poster may be related.
Would be grateful for any help or advice
Thanks Ges

Hi Ges

Welcome to RootsChat  :) Hopefully Duskyree will see your other post on the the Lanarkshire board and be back on line www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,360399.0.html

From what they say on that post, it sounds like they have thoroughly researched this line. In the meantime, this looks to be Robert's birth on IGI (an image of his birth entry is available to view on Scotlands People):

ROBERT WALKER JOLLY Birth: 19 OCT 1855  Fetteresso, Kincardine
Parents: DAVID JOLLY and ISABELLA GORDON

This looks like the family in 1891:

Robert Jolly 34, carter b. Fetteresso
Jane Jolly 30 b. Strachan, Kincardineshire
Robert Jolly 10 b. Arbuthnot, Kincardineshire
David Jolly 9 b. Arbuthnot, Kincardineshire
Jane Jolly 6 b. Glenbervie, Kincardineshire
Alexander Jolly 4 b. Glenbervie, Kincardineshire
Thomas Jolly 6 Months b. St Stephen Gb, Lanarkshire

Address: 21 Russell St, Blythswood Glasgow

Not sure what you already have on the family or which child you are following through. This is of interest if you haven't come across it already in your searches:

This is such a great help. I am trying to do my whole family tree and this is on my Mothers side. You all have been so helpful. Thank you. I have some small details but trying to build a bigger picture.

I have a Margaret Watson, maiden name Jolly, married to Robert Watson. They had a daughter Willamina Jolly Watson in 1865, who married my great uncle William Coutts in 1894. She was living at 99 King street, Bervie, Kincardineshire and working in a mill.

Not my direct line but I have a connection with a Jean Jolly b 1837 Kincardine to James Jolly & Diana Christison.

Any connection there?
