Coopers of Docking
« on: Sunday 18 July 10 10:32 BST (UK) »
Robert Cooper(c1780) is the start of my line of London ancestors. 1851 census has him born in Docking, Norfolk. 1809 marriage to Charlotte Dryland says he is a widower.
If any body can shed any light on his Norfolk ancestry or 1st marriage I would be grateful.

Hi Andrew

If you look on FreeReg you will find his baptism at Docking:

Robt. Cooper   bp.28/5/1780, son of John and Sarah.

Also has his siblings.

Thank you both for the rapid reply.

My guy moved to London in around 1800, so not the one on the Sheringham 1841 census. I have him fairly well covered from 1809 onwards, its just the time before that.

Annettes info will help greatly.

Regards

Andrew

Hello Andrew,
I'm not sure if you have this information but Robert Cooper and Charlotte Dryland had a daughter Mary who married William Bunning of Whitechapel. She died at 32 after giving birth to several children. If you are interested in the details of this line they are available at Tribal Pages Bunning/McKenzie family.
