Handwritten Marks on Certificates
« on: Monday 19 July 10 13:19 BST (UK) »
Can anyone tell me if handwritten ink crosses or ticks next to names, or underlines of names are of any significance on BDM certs? I have received quite a few where for example, the status of a divorced petitioner on a marriage cert is ticked, I presume after being checked against some other corroborating info. However, underlines and other marks are intriguing. Can anyone help?
Cheers
