Am having some luck just on the internet, quite a few Gowlers before 1700, but William and Prudence just block the whole family line. Its great fun though, especially the court rolls from 1500-1600 :)

Theres not much further back from that - only uncovered the William and Prudence link 2 weeks ago though

I have been researching the Gowlers from Chatteris, who are descendants of Dockerill Gowler.   I cant find any information about
Dockerills birth on Family Search, what website lists his birth.  Thanks

See my reply #1 below. Many Hunts parish registers have not been transcribed onto the IGI or BVRI, nor have they been filmed by the LDS, so if Dockerill Gowler was baptised in one of these parishes you won't find the baptism online.

I have a transcript of Chatteris parish register - if you need the baptisms of Dockerill's children just shout. But these appear to be extracted onto the IGI now.

Dockerill Gowler married Mary Hawkins at Colne, Hunts in 1784
