I'm looking for any information or help regarding a Rose Byrne.
I have been tracing John Donough, b.1857 in Ardee. His birth record indicates place as the workhouse, and he is described as illegitimate. His parents were John/James Donough and Rose Byrne. I've contacted Louth County Archives and unfortunately no admission records survive.
Due to the prevalence of the name Byrne, and the fact that I can't find a marriage record for John and Rose post-1957, can anyone suggest what avenues I can pursue to find out more about Rose, John Sr., their son, and their circumstances at the workhouse.
Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated.
