Phythian & Taylor Interests
« on: Friday 01 April 05 17:19 BST (UK) »
Hi All,

Thought I'd post my interests in the Phythian's of Lancashire (and Cheshire) as I know there are folks out there researching this line.

I only started this line recently.

Joyce Riddick's website has information pertaining to my family  http://www.joyce.riddick.btinternet.co.uk/phythian.html [Link down 30/04/05]

And so far in my own research I have gone back to Aaron Phythian and Alice (of the 1824 birth but no one knows her maiden name yet!).

Joyce lists the children born in Liverpool but my Joseph Phythian was born to them in Oxton in 1852.  I've got him on all census from 1871 in Birkenhead, Toxteth Park, & Fazakerley.

He married a Elizabeth Micklewright who seems to have died tragically young.  He then went on to marry Rose Doherty of Ireland (oral history says of Co Cavan).

Rose Phythian married John Hallam Taylor of Wigan one of their children Josephine Taylor was my Nana Josie (married name Cousins).

Any Hallam's, Taylor's or Phythian's out there?

Cheers,
Pam
