In my tree I have three daughters of Thomas STANDEN and Amy KEMP that marry into my RYE family. 

Thelma Isabel STANDEN married Lawrence Robert RYE
Amy Ruth STANDEN married Peter Raymond RYE
Winifred May STANDEN married Bruce Raymond PATTERSON (who's mother was Hilda Mary May RYE)

Sorry but I do not have any information on Mr and Mrs Thomas STANDEN, do you have any connection to the RYE family.

No am not connected to the RYE line

My grandson descends from (his great grandmother) Elaine Hilary STANDEN b.c 1938 d.1990 She married 1956 Trevor Raymond ANSELL b.1937 d.2008

I have other children belonging to Thomas Edwatd STANDEN:
Edward George, Lilian Ann, Thelma Isabel, Elaine, Amy Ruth , Winifred May, & Denis Walter

Unfortunately my grandfather's background is a mystery and, with the recent death of my mother (Amy Ruth Rye (nee Standen), will remain so.  The rumors were that he was in the Merchant Navy and jumped ship in NZ, and that he may have changed his name at this time.  Considerable effort has been made by one of my siblings who resides in England to no avail.  He passed away when my mother was just 10 and so her memories of him were very limited.  I am sorry that I can't help more.
