Emley Parish Church - Baptisms 1600-1918 - Name REDGWICK
« on: Sunday 01 August 10 14:28 BST (UK) »
I noticed the very kind offer of lookups for this parish.

I am just starting this line and I have found a few baptisms and marriages on the IGI but would like to see if I can get as near transcriptions as possible.

My start is with Mary REDGWICK and there seems to be many spellings of this surname.  I have found a baptism of 20 Mar 1791 Emley, this would fit in with the YOB I have gleaned from the census although Clayton West is stated as place of birth but I can see that Emley is near by.

As far as I can work out Mary's parents will be John REDGWICK and Hannah GRAY but to be verified, date of marriage is 14 Jun 1790 but at Silkstone.

Any help with transcriptions of the REGWICK name at Emley would be very much appreciated.

Hi
I see that the person who offered the look ups for Emley has not been on rootschat for some time.  However, they might respond to a personal message and there is a website in their profile.  Genuki has lots of links to other sites so always worth a look.
Regards
Andrea

Thank you Andrea, I will try a PM.  Yes, GENUKI is excellent and I started off there although I admit I have not read every page.

Do you subscribe to Ancestry DeeN?  Emley parish registers 1600 - 1812 are on their database.
