« on: Wednesday 04 August 10 22:42 BST (UK) »
I am looking for the maiden name of my 3x gt gran Elizabeth Phillips b. 1801. She married Francis Phillips b. 1798 - d. 1895 and I believe they were from Fownhope in Herefordshire.

Also ay info on Francis father or his siblings would be great. His father was also Francis Phillips b. 1759 and married Priscilla Hopley B:1759 Eardisland, Herefordshire. no idea when wither of the died???

Kind regards,

Hello, I have just registered on here, and I am searching the same family! I am from the Pearce (later Pierce) family, via Henry Pearce who moved to Abergavenny. Yes, Elizabeth Richards was married to Francis Phillips and lived at Common Hill, Fownhope, see 1851 census.
Ian Jenkins, Wolverhampton.

Oh Yes, and I am looking for:
JENKINS Presteigne, pre 1845
PEARCE, Herefordshire
WILLIAMS Withington/Wellington Herfordshire pre 1855
TAMPLIN Mon
POOLEY Cumbria

Welcome to rootschat, Ian.

Brant81 will be pleased to get further confirmation I am sure,  if you have any queries of your own it might be more useful to start your own thread on the Herefordshire board, just click on new topic and post your question.

There are a lot of Jenkins and Phillips in this area :) :)

Mike

Click on  "forum" in the black banner at the top,  scroll down quite a way to  England,  select the county you want, click on this, scroll down a little bit and click on the blue box. " new topic"

Put a title, ask your question, tell us what you know for certain, and wait for a reply,  usually someone will reply fairly quickly.

Mike

Added, it helps to have first names and surnames, and possible birth year, maybe follow one line at a time,  you can ask as many queries as you like, but please don't ask the same question in two places,  as this just means people will duplicate effort.
