I am trying to establish why George Drake and his family moved from Derbyshire to Sussex. In 1861 they were recorded as all being born in Thornhill,in 1871 they had moved to the Hailsham area of Sussex, Geoge had died, his daughter married and living in Framfield, his wife working as a washer woman in the Boship Pottery. The question is-why did they move?
