Hi Deb,
Yes the lst four children Elizabeth May b.1878, John b.1880, Donald b.1882 and Edith b.1884 I can find born in SA, John as McINTIRE.   All born Truro, SA.
According to the Biographical Index of Sth Australia this family at some stage went to NSW.

The birth of Elsie Agnes Maud in 1893 was in Wilcannia NSW so it is possible that the family are now living NSW.
The Biographical Index of Sth Australia also suggests that there were more children born after Elsie Agnes which could be the children I mentioned born in Wilcannia where Elsie was born.

I don't have the facilities to search interstate but I have checked Sth Australia and cannot find any more births or marriages other than Donalds marriage in 1919.
I don't have the SA death cd so can't check if there are any deaths for the people you are researching.   This may be one explanation as to why you can't find them.
