If anyone is in a position to be of assistance, I would like to obtain a jpeg of the headstones of Marine John Raymond Thorpe aged 22 yrs who died in Pembrokeshire 08 Feb 1940 whilst on active service.
Full details of the incident surrounding his death are known.
John R. Thorpe lays in Grave 1011 at Highnam Ferrers Cemetery.
Thks in advance.

Hi there,

When the weather improves(dull cold and foggy here in HF!) I can take a walk round to Higham Cemetery and take a picture for you.

With it being a war death I am presuming that there is a war grave and nicely kept headstone? As is the case of my grandad in Macclesfield Cemetery.

Can you PM me your email address so I can send it to you later please.

Regards

Carol

Hi again, pics on their way to you as we speak.
It's a lovely sunny day here, but the cemetery was still very muddy!

I was expecting it to have a Commonwealth War Grave headstone as my grandad's grave does, but it's just a normal grave.

Regards

Carol
