Lookup James Hill 1851 Census

I have a James hill born abt 1849 in Corsock, Kirkcudbrightshire and can't seem to find him on the 1851 Census.

His parents are William Hill and Martha Murray, both from Ireland.  A quick look and it would seem they only appear on the census from 1861 onwards too, despite having other children listed as being born there in the late 1840s and 50s. 

A check on IGI shows the earliest born child for that location as 1858.  So perhaps there was some fibbing going on as to where they were born, and it's likely they came across to Scotland sometime between 1851 - 1858?
