On the 18th November 1910 Isabella Feenaghty applied for -

" ... a certificate to enable me to obtain a Transfer of a Licence to sell Beer, Cider and Spirits by Retail, at a House where I reside, situate at Ballybofey, Parish of Stranorlar, Barony of South Half Raphoe, and County of Donegal, and on the left hand side of the road leading from Donegal to Strabane, now licensed in the name of Michael Shesgreen,Deceased"
(Derry Journal 6 Jan 1911)

Isabella was Michael's daughter (checking the 1901 and 1911 Census).

The same paper, 17 Oct 1910
"SHESGREEN - At his residence, Main Street, Ballybofey, Michael Shesgreen, sen., spirit merchant - R.I.P. His remains will be removed from his late residence this (Monday) afternoon, 17th instant, at one o'clock. American and Australian papers please copy.

P.S.

Re original enquiry (32 Pump Street) in 1930 this was the Central Nursing Home. Several adverts appeared in the local newspaper with vacancies for midwives and maternity nurses.
