one more item - skipped forward on that list I'm working on, and see that there's an R.I.C. station listed in Co. Westmeath at Ballinahown, in Moate RIC district. Dont see it marked on the c1890 OSI map yet...

just to clarify on the name - since it was a union of several civil parishes the same RC parish could probably be referred to as Lemanaghan and/or Ballinahown at different times... or any of the other civil parishes involved..

p.s. Ballynahown townland is right on the Westmeath/Offaly border

you're so good and have given us lots to work on....

I think we were just unlucky with the parishes being so close to borders.

I am going to forward all this is my relly in California and see does it help her with the RIC Museum !
