Morning AJ
Thats some super finds there and its interesting to see Fred Geeson buried with his in-laws and they all have the same occupation . He was married to Charlotte Wiles and she married again after Freds death and as far as i am aware she had a hardware shop in Armworth ?? nr Doncaster. Charlottes sister Bertha also had a newsagents shop ? college road nr the pheonix pub opposite the railway station - i wonder if this has been the family business ?? and Bertha took over when her father died ?
Chemist lane was the address i have found on so many entries relating to the family. I tried to find where Chemist Lane was but unable to find it :(
I will check my file and see what loose ends i have for the Wiles and get back to you soon
Oh forgot to mention - did it have a cause of death for Alberta ( i had two different causes) ?
Thanks for your help AJ

Hi,
Is your Chemist Lane in Rotherham? If that's the one, it's near Charlie Brown's Autocentre.
Just go to Google maps and type in Chemist Lane. Only one result, hope it's yours.

Glad to have been able to help you.

There is no cause of death on Alberta's records. Should be recorded on her death certificate.

In response to Rafters input about Chemist Lane. He is quite correct in saying that it is near Charlie Browns (which may no longer be there) and can be found on Google Maps. My husband remembers it well as it is in what used to be the Thornhill area of Rotherham where he lived until the houses were pulled down around 1958. Chemist lane is not a million miles away from the Phoenix pub so the locations all make sense.

Keep in touch
AJ

Hi AJ
You are so right about the areas  after checking them on google maps. Been a bit busy of late so not had much chance of checking my file for loose ends but will get back to you asap . I know what you mean about getting a buzz out of a true find its quite addictive !
Do you have access to electoral rolls for the area to see when they first arrived in Rotherham ?  In 1891 i have them living with in-laws in Greetland then by 1901 they are in 17 Holland Street if thats any help .
