Obituary of Mary Bridget McDonnell
« on: Thursday 19 August 10 17:14 BST (UK) »
I have learned with the kind help of Cara Links that my relative Mary Bridget McDonnell died on March 13, 1985 in Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford. Would anyone have access to her obituary? Cara states that the library is closed till Sept 1. Her husband Richard died Aug 27, 1985.  Thanks to all and thanks to Cara.

Hello,
I am still looking for the obituary of Mary Bridget McDonnell who died in Enniscorthy on March 13, 1985.
If anyone is able to send it to me, I would be most appreciative. I did write to the Enniscorthy Echo and they told me that the library would have copies of old editions of the Echo.
thanks

Your first post said the library was closed until September 1st- have you tried contacting them yet? Since you have an exact date they might look up the obituary for you.

I have just noticed that I made a typo on the date of Mary Bridget's husband Richard McDonnell. He died Aug 27, 1993. I would appreciate his obituary as well.
thanks

I did contact the library and was told that their staff do not undertake research.

If there's a local historical society or family history society you could contact to ask for help.

Don't know of any at the moment. I have been searching on familysearch.org, esp new beta site, which is useless.

The LDS site are not useless but they mainly have births and marriages-  it's just that the information you are looking for is very recent and probably not available anywhere online.

You're right. I have used the LDS site for many things, and found them. Love the Quebec Catholic parishes for example. But the new beta site seems to give me s lot of irrelevant choices. For example, if I put in death in Ireland, I get deaths in Ohio, etc.  Sorry about that.
