Very very very very distant relatives ;D It goes way back.

My husband descends from the Kinvigs.

Thomas Kelly (1766-) married Jane Kinvig (1770-).

Jane's parents were William Kinvig and Margaret Juke who are my husband's 4th great grandparents. My husband descends from Jane's brother John Kinvig.

Jane and Thomas had a daughter Anne Kelly (1799-1861) who married William Faragher (1794-1865).
Anne and William had a daughter Eliza Hesther Faragher who married William Charles Mylchreest (1866-)

I really enjoyed doing the Manx part of the tree. My husband didn't really know much about his Manx heritage until I started doing his tree....and yes it is so intertwined and gets confusing at times.

Yes...I have Paul remarrying Anne Elizabeth Quayle...got a lot of Quayle's in the tree as well ;D

My husband's Kinvigs moved to Liverpool before the 1861 census. His great great grandfather Henry Kinvig was a policeman. My husband was born in the Toxteth Park area of Liverpool.

I have Cain's and Clauge's too...the same names over and over again... that's why it's so confusing.

My Nan was a double Mylchreest! My Great Grandparents both called Mylchreest married at St Silas Church High Park Street Toxteth Liverpool in 1898. They share a common ancestor who re-married going back to the 1600s.

If I wasn't so well brought up I'd retail some of the Foxdale jokes! - seriously there are a limited set of common Manx names so usual joke is "different names second cousins, same name no relation" - you often see Cain=Cain for example - often it is a 2nd marriage for one or both parties as pre welfare state days you needed both a Man and a wife to run farm + family so I suspect eligible parties were quickly matched up by friends.
any thing with a Manx Connection
