Hughes and Feighan Family - Derrynoose and Keady Parishes
« on: Saturday 21 August 10 12:33 BST (UK) »
Hi all.

Looking for any potential links with people who may have HUGHES or FEIGHAN ancestry in Derrynoose or Keady, in County Armagh.

I have Patrick Hughes marrying Bridget (aka Biddy) Feighan in Derrynoose RC in 1861. They had children I know of so far...

Michael Hughes : 1863 Derrynoose. Moved to Scotland before 1894.
Mary Ann Hughes 1865 Keady.
Patrick Hughes 1867 Keady.

I know there were a few Hughes and Feighan's in the area at this time. If anybody has any information on these families please get in touch.

Matt.

I found on rootsireland (a paysite) a Bridget Feighan christened Derrynoose Armagh  8/1/1819, RC, father Patrick Feighan, mother Maria Merry. A sponsor was Hugh Feighan

If you follow Aghadoweys link you will find information i had previously given you about Michael born 14th Feb 1863. Father Patrick and mother Biddy Feighan. I think i sent you some records to decipher. Couldnt find any new info though. Sorry.

Hi I just came across this and think this sounds like ancestors of mine as my name is Fegan but it was feighan but changed sometime to Fegan after 1915. Not sure if you use this but let me know if you found anything else I am also from this area so maybe I can help you.
