Hi Alan   well your couple did not marry at Little Clacton,I was not surprised about that as it was a small place in the 1840's the church had about two marriages a year,so looked at Great Clacton and found them.
entry71 page 36  October 12th 1844
Daniel Luff aged 20 bachelor Labourer father William Luff Labourer married
Mary Ann Brooks 18 spinster father George Brooks Labourer
Daniel signed Mary made a mark
Daniel from Little Holland Mary from Great Clacton
witness George Green who signed and Mary Tye who made a mark.
