We are terrified by the necessity to register at yet another social site which we are trying to avoid.
Is there any life on that page - any discussion? co-operation?

I believe the moderator is a Troubetzkoy and the activity is pretty current since I see Troubetzkoy photos I know to hae been taken within the last month or so...

The dates are NOT birth date and baptism dates.  They are old style (o.s.; Julian) and new style (Gregorian) dates. There is currently a 13 day difference.  (12 day difference in the 1800s.)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gregorian_calendar

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Julian_calendar

The calendars are very important to understand when researching Russian genealogy.

It reads:

E2. Pr Pyotr, *7.7.1882 (25.6. o.s.), +1958; m.Chisinau, Moldova 4.9.1915 Mariya Pavlovna Rodzianko (*St.Petersburg 17.1.1872, +Corfe Castle, Dorset 21.10.1958), dau.of Pavel Vladimirovich Rodzianko and Pss Maria Pavlovna Galitzina

Which, to my mind says:

Son Pyotr (our Peter) baptised 7 Jul 1882 (born 25 Jun) died 1958.
He married in Chisinau, Moldovia on 4 Sep 1915, Mariya (our Maria) Pavlovna Rodzianko.
Maria was born/baptised in St Petersberg 17 Jan 1872 and died in Corfe Castle Dorset on 21 Oct 1958. She was the daughter of Pavel Vladimirovich Rodzianko and Maria Pavlovna Galitzina.

Myspace is not a good source for Troubetzkoy genealogy.  The page you are referring to is written by someone who is not in the family genealogical books.  He posts photographs of authentic Troubetzkoys from the internet, without their permission.

I have a small amount of information on the Peter and Marie Troubetzkoy buried at the God's Acre Cemetery, Corfe Castle, from the family genealogical book.  There is no information on what they were doing in England, but it is probably safe to assume that that is where they ended up after fleeing Russia during or after the Revolution.  Please contact me for further information if you are interested.

Many years ago I knew of prince Peter as we knew him in fact he lived opposite my uncle at Harmans cross  and as I remember came to him and said  we have run out of money and if we leave the property to you will you keep us untill we die   they went to solisiter and did just that     they died a few years later and my uncles siblings lived in the property untill about 5 years ago
