Hi all

Found this article today - http://www.kentonline.co.uk/kentonline/news/2010/july/28/kents_150-year-old_newspapers.aspx - regarding the digitising of the KM archive from its founding up to 1919. They're looking for volunteers if anyone is interested!!

Here’s where we are!...
We have catalogued and repaired the pages.
We are now going through the tenders so hopefully the pages will be ready to view by the end of the year or early next year.
All very exciting but a fairly slow operation due to the nature of the work.

Best wishes
Lesley

That's good news.

We look forward to seeing the results of all the hard work that has gone into this project.

It will be a fantastic resource for both local and family historians.  :D
