When she dies in Sep 1993, her birth date is shown as 24 Jul 1922

No birth registrations for an Elsie James in Wales in June q, 1895 but there is one in Swansea in Sept q:

Elsie James Sept q, 1895 Swansea, vol 11a p 948

As her birth was given as 9th June 1895, her parents might not have registered straight away so she could have got into the Sept q.

Also quite a few in June q, 1896 incase they got her year of b wrong on the citizenship info.  It's worth checking on  www.freebmd.org.uk, Fred
