Miller, Crawford & Chippewa Co., WI
« on: Saturday 28 August 10 01:25 BST (UK) »
I'm new to this, I have a brick wall with John Miller and his wife Mary.  John was born in PA, his wife Mary was born in KY. They had Elizabeth Virginia Miller born 14 Nov 1832 in Crawford Co., Michigan Territory (later became WI); Scott Miller born @1833, he probably had another name like Winfield but we just don't know. Next cam Newton Miller born @1836; Edward Alexander Miller about @1838, he was married 2 or 3 times, his last wife was Caroline  ???. Emeline Rebecca Miller born 1841, she was married 3 times, 1st. Marcum, 2nd Gibbs and last Whiting. George Washington born @1844; and last Christopher Columbus Miller born 17 Feb 1848, all born around Prairie du Chein, Crawford Co. WI

John's parents came from Germany to PA but that's the only information we have, he might have been called Johann or something like that.

Thanks,

Thanks so much for your input, we have the information on E. Alexander, Emeline Rebecca, Elizabeth Virginia, Christopher Columbus and George Washington, so far no luck on Newton and Scott.  Fairly sure they both had first names and that Newton and Scott were the middle names but can't find anything on them.  Really appreciate your help. Sue

Hello Sue,

Ok. You should have been more specific in your original post with all the information you had and what exactly was required.  It was'nt obvious that you already had that info.

Have you looked at the possibility that Newton and Scott were young men by 1860, could they have been casulties of the Civil War  ???

Regards
Sandra

:'( Sorry, I'm really new at this, I know that C. Columbus was in the Civil war, he lost an arm, but  really haven't looked for the other's as I have middle names probably but not full names.  C. Columbus married Zelpha McCann, her brothers were the ones who had the Eagle "old Abe" and it went through the Civil War with them.  Sue
