I came across this amazing site in 2009, and as with a lot of others, it came up in a Google search for one of my relatives!  Go Rootschat - the best thing since sliced bread!  And much more 👍👍👍🌹🌹

I have forgotten now after so many years. Use it every day. Mainly help others. My specialty is County Durham West of the A1 (M). But at a push South Shields to British West Hartlepool. World includes Australia to Zambia. The latter actually Northern Rhodesia but A-Z sounds better.

Found Rootschat some years ago I was trying to trace someone who emigrated to  Australia in 1959 I was actually successful with the help of someone on here, sadly though the person had passed away in Australia a couple of years before.

Ive not been on here for some time.

Welcome to Rootschat,  EJJ. I'd like to echo Louisa Maud's words. You can't do too much wrong on here.
We're a friendly bunch and very helpful. Have a look around, and when you're ready post a query or something you're stuck on. You will get plenty of help.

There are too many pages to go back through them all, but has anyone else seen the typo in the original poll question (not the Subject)?  "Rootchat".

Anyway, one night, too cold to remove my gloves, I was seeking a
psychological evaluation method involving inkblots, and mistyped 'Rorschach'.  I then decided to see if my sense of humour was inherited. I've never looked back.
