Hi all,

This is great, thanks to everyone for the info so far,

Patrick McTigue is definately Mary Hynes nee McTigues brother, there was also a sister Sabina McTigue who married a John Athy, and a sister Bridget McTigue who married James McLean, all living in Fairfax, NZ.

I am trying to find out more about Patrick McTigue and his wife Winifred O'Grady. Not sure where she fits in to the O'Grady family, but would love to find out. Patrick and Winifred had 9 children, James, Thomas, Ellen, James (again) Margaret, John, Michael, Malachi and Winifred.

Hope someone can help

Hi there,

I don't know whether you guys are aware or not but the marriage of Malachy O'Grady and Bridget (Delia) Hynes is on roots ireland.

They married in 1859 in Lackagh RC Church Galway.

Just found some more:

In 1860 in Lackagh RC Church Galway Ireland a M O'Grady and a Bridget (Delia) Hynes baptised a daughter called Margaret.

She may have passed away as I didn't see her mentioned in your messages.

As Malachy's mother was called Margaret, this would tie in.

Lackagh Church records don't go back as far as some and I have been told that sometimes there are names etc missing off them BUT I did see the last of John Hynes and  CATHERINE Hession's children getting baptised there.

It was Michael Hynes and he was baptised in Lackagh RC Church in 1843.
